The targeted woman dated the asshole for about six months, during which time she became pregnant. The relationship ended, and so did the pregnancy.
"My original intentions when I started this campaign were quite simple," the asshole is quoted as saying. "I just wanted to shed the light on pro-life issues and fathers' rights. I have had no closure over my own personal loss and that's where the billboard came into play."
The asshole admits, however, that he has no idea whether the pregnancy ended in abortion or miscarriage. She refused to talk to the asshole about it.
Now the law is involved. The asshole's ex-girlfriend took him to court with a petition for domestic violence and charges of harassment and invasion of privacy. A Domestic Violence Court recommended an order of protection for the woman and that the harassing billboard be removed by June 17. The asshole is planning to fight the decision as an affront to his free speech.
As AdFreak noted, "he's an asshole".
Here's TV coverage (flash only, sorry iPeople):
Please note that I avoided using the harassment victim's name in this post. I think she's had enough hassle already.
