F'd Ad Fridays: Oh, come on now. Nobody who speaks German could be a racist...

Blackface Obama? The ad is a political one for Martin Sonneborn, leader of the satirical "Die Partei" (The Party) party. He claims he had no idea it would offend black people.

Another of their recent controversial election ads, by the way, is "MILFs against Merkel"...

    To be honest, I don't think Europeans or Australians do realize how sensitive a subject blackface is in North America — perhaps for them, it's not much different than making fun of Germans by wearing Lederhosen and an alpine hat with a feather, or waddling around with a bowler hat and umbrella pretending to be a British upper-class twit.
