Truth in branding (and packaging) of cereal for kids

This is a guerrilla art installation by Ron English, who stocked the spoof cereal boxes in Venice Beach.

He calls it "subvertising".  Reminds me of Wacky Packages.

  1. i wonder how long those lasted on the store shelf?

    > Reminds me of Wacky Packages.

yes, it does. unfortunately, i never 'got' that. they were good for seeing about two of them and any more were groaners.

for me, the 'subvertising' approach works better, as those look 'real' and you have to look close to see that they they are not and then to see what it is that they are really saying.

  2. I am not very impressed with your style of packaging. I know you can do much better than this one. Thanks for sharing your idea and work with us. I am looking forward to see your work in much better way. Thanks.
