Truth in branding (and packaging) of cereal for kids

This is a guerrilla art installation by Ron English, who stocked the spoof cereal boxes in Venice Beach.


He calls it "subvertising".  Reminds me of Wacky Packages.

    yes, it does. unfortunately, i never 'got' that. they were good for seeing about two of them and any more were groaners.

    for me, the 'subvertising' approach works better, as those look 'real' and you have to look close to see that they they are not and then to see what it is that they are really saying.
