Buy our shoes or we'll kill this dog

Sorry, I couldn't help but remember National Lampoon when I saw this ad:

Here's the copy:
Project E:MOTION isn’t for the faint of heart.* That’s because our new midsole design forces your stride into fluid submission. This undeniable smoothness translates into less work for your legs, so you get into your zone faster and feel like you could stay there forever. Sure, not everyone will appreciate your increased efficiency, but, ironically, not everyone was born to run like an animal.
I know it's a gag, but I have to admit seeing a dying dog didn't exactly endear me to the brand. People who love dogs often love them more than they love other people. I can't see people who run with a canine companion being motivated by this.

The other two are just weird:

Not really a winner of a campaign. I'm posting it more to get reactions to the dog ad.

Sad Croc Monster will haunt your nightmares

We were picking up new shoes for our son at Kiddie Cobbler when I noticed this awful beast out of the
corner of my eye. As soon as I stopped shitting my pants in sheer horror, I wondered why the hell any person in Crocs' marketing department would think this awful thing would create any kind of positive brand association with children. That is, unless the brand promise is "I'm going to eat your face when you fall asleep, if you even sleep again."

There is a certain pathos to the horrible creature, however, similar to Frankenstein's monster. So I submitted it to Meme Generator:

We'll see what the internet thinks.

Mick Jagger's first gig

At 15, he was the shoe boy in this 1959 episode of the kids' show "Seeing Sport".

He sure does have the rock 'n' roll attitude about it, though.

If the shoe fits, **** it.

What is it with all the smut after a holiday weekend? I take one day off, and the ad blogosphere is practically swimming in pheromones.

This video, via Illegal Advertising, is for European Foot Locker stores.

It's part of a big social media outreach that includes all kinds of user-generated content. (I'll bet they get some pretty icky ones, too.)

Plus, everyone knows that women only make this face for Manolo Blahnik

The concept isn't that far off, though, as shoes have long been considered a vaginal symbol. I recall hearing an Italian proverb against women having concurrent sexual partners that translated to something like "you can't put two feet in the same shoe". You get the picture.

Is the internet big enough to contain Kenny Powers' epic K-Swiss awesomeness?

Even if you haven't seen Eastbound and Down, you'll enjoy this viral hit for K-Swiss Tubes.

Unless your ears are too delicate to hear a whole lot of cussing. In which case, fu...

Thanks, Jayham, for the link.

UPDATE: The complete cologne spots are up.
