Another great, gory PSA from Down Under

First came "Dumb Ways to Die", the hilarious transit safety campaign by McCann Melbourne that dominated at Cannes.

Now, here's something new from Director Justin Wight at Monkeystack, for the Australian Red Cross:

Pretty funny stuff. I'll just assume the creatives on this are fans of Don Hertzfeldt (and/or Cyanide & Happiness)...

Long-separated breasts reunited in French push-up bra ad

Everyone knows European ads show lots of bare breasts. But these are the weirdest ones I've seen in some time. Created by Marcel Paris and Publicis Espana for Valege Lingerie they show anthropomorphized boobs having a bunch of squishy reunions:

According to AdFreak, the ads were directed by "J.A.C.K." of Wanda Productions. They're certainly playful, but humanizing the "breast friends" creates all kinds of weirdness — especially with the nipple "squint" in the airport ad.

It's pretty harmless, and very French. Although as AdFreak's Tim Nudd points out, "It's not generally assumed that breasts enjoy being squashed together in a push-up bra."

Nicely done, completely twisted viral cartoon ad

The Magic Fun Store is "a small art gallery and  tattoo studio in Tucson, AZ." Now you know who they are. And in a minute, you won't be able to forget them (or unsee these images):

It turns out animation is a side-business at the shop, so they decided to promote themselves with a little ditty about a unicorn who can't get enough dolphin love. This one was done by BAMiAM.tv (B.A. Miale) "a video artist who mashes up her playfully psychedelic visuals in real time on a keytar."

Considering their industry, and the shop's carefree brand, this ought to work out well for them.

"Space Stallions": a brilliant love letter to '80s adventure cartoon clichés

As darkness is covering the multiverse, far away in the galaxy of the wild stallion, a spark of hope is born.
Guided by the light of Mother Mustang, the Space Stallions must defeat the Demon of darkness, Destructo...

This is a student project by Thorvaldur S. Gunnarsson, Jonatan Brüsch, Ágúst Kristinsson, Arna Snæbjørnsdottir, Esben J. Jespersen, Touraj Khosravi and Polina Bokhan of The Animation Workshop in Denmark. And it is totally awesome. But be warned: it is more homage than parody.

This stop-motion animation may put you off your meds

When I watched this the first time, I thought, "Cool video!  But I'll bet it's going to try to sell me some questionable herbal remedies."

Help Remedies - Take Less from Wulf Casting on Vimeo.

But it didn't. It's an ad for Help, a pharmaceutical company that claims to simplify the way we take medications for common complaints.

"Help® is a new type of drug company—a drug company that promises you less:

Less drugs
All of Help®’s solutions are made with a single active ingredient. Help, I have a headache, for example, contains only acetamin-ophen,whereas some other kinds of headache medicines may contain two or three active ingredients.
Less dyes
The drugs themselves are made with the fewest possible coatings and dyes. Many drugs are colored and coated for decorative purposes. Help® would rather people didn’t have to ingest decoration.
Less confusion
Each product is titled after the specific symptom it is meant to solve, e.g. Help I can’t sleep, instead of an unrelated brand name, so that people understand clearly what they are taking and what they are taking it for."
Interesting concept, "less/fewer" grammar outrage aside...

F'd Ad Fridays: Creepy bunny creeps you in the men's room

This series by Ogilvy Group in Bucharest, Romania, will ruin Bugs Bunny for you. Unless you want him to be like that, in which case... you're welcome?
