HJ Gloves, by IsoBoner

Casey just sent me this spoof ad from Funny or Die. (It's a little gross, so watch at own risk.)

HJ Gloves from Adam Scott

Pretty funny, although the Obsession ad parodies are pretty done at this point. And the gloves? Iggy rocked those more than 40 years ago.

This Katherine Heigl PSA is completely nuts

I've already profiled this hilarious ad on Osocio last night, but I wanted to share it here for the morning crew.

Former Grey's Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl stars in this video promoting the spaying and neutering of pets. But she says that it isn't about the animals for her — she just really hates balls.

It's a fantastic performance. Funniest PSA of the year, easily. And, following Snooki's perfume debut on the site, this video establishes Funny or Die as a viable advertainment medium.

The ihateballs.com site is also worth checking out, if only for the merch.

Well, now that's awkward...

Snooki's media placement more interesting than her ad

Every once in a while, I see something good on Funny or Die, but the lowbrow video site definitely has a following.

That's why I found it really interesting that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi of Jersey Shore has chosen to advertise her new perfume exclusively on the site.

With over 43,000 views so far, this video was uploaded and sponsored by Snooki's own account. It's kind of funny, if much too long, as it lampoons Calvin Klein. But the real interest I have is how successful she will be in a medium that:

- Is difficult to embed (I had to swipe source code)
- Is unviewable on iPhones and iPads (which won't play Flash)
- Is only going to be seen by a specific segment online

But perhaps that's the whole point of the brand. After all, she sure knows her target.

F'd Ad Fridays: How to get men to look women in the eyes

Burnred posted a shortened YouTube version of this Funny or Die parody ad from last year, in which French actress Marion Cotillard explains the secret European women use to force men to stop looking at their chests...

It may be old, but at least it plays on my iPhone.
